Day 2 - Prague, Czech Republic to Munich, Germany

Later this evening we have to take the train to Dusseldorf from Munich. As train only leaves at nearly 11pm we decided to do a walking tour of Prague.

We started by seeing the areas close to hotel and then go to the main square where there is a watch tower with the oldest (from 1410) working astronomical clock on the world.

The Orloj is mounted on the southern wall of the tower. The clock mechanism itself is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures—notably a figure of Death (represented by a skeleton) striking the time; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

I would strongly recommend reading more on this fantastic clock in Wikipedia HERE

According to local legend the city will suffer if the clock is neglected and its good operation is placed in jeopardy.
